Emek Double Trigger Build
Started looking at building an Emek with the Stanchy double trigger. I love my stock Emekand thought it might be fun to have a double trigger version. I owned an Etha2 beofre but it's just not the same. Plus I wanted one that was all mechanical and uncapped. I shoot my electrics on semiso a mech version of the Emek with double trigger seems like the mix of both.
I started by purchasing a used Emek PAL enabled version. I found this one on a Central FL Facebook group. The guy was selling it faily cheap and it was missing the stock barrel and feedneck locking lever. Not a problem for me since I had another full body and plenty of barrels. I bought it for $205 shipping and fees included. A little more than I wanted to pay but it checked all the boxes and still was saving me around $50 for the next cheapest Emek I could find.
As you can see, it came in really dirty. I cleaned it up and tested it. Fired fine but I still went ahead and put my old Emek body and uppers on it. It still has the vinyl carbon wrap on it but I will remove that if/when I decide to keep it and get it hydrodipped. [img="https://i.imgur.com/lAV6Am7.jpg"]
Now for the rest of the build. I bought a new Hair 45 valve ($89) since I feel like they are faster than the 3 way valves. For $20, I felt it was the better product for a (hopefully) fast shooter.
I went for the Stanchy double trigger kit with the SSC Aluminum Scythe CS1 trigger and kit ($70). I did black knowing I will probably have it changed to another color if I decide to keep it.
